The 4th Annual Cyprus Gaming Show – Day Two Recap

(Cyprus).- Eventus International proudly concluded with the 4th Annual Cyprus Gaming Show today in Limassol.
Day two kicked off with opening remarks from our Chairperson, Viktoria Soltesz, Founder, PSP Angels, followed by a presentation by Christos Ttiniozos, Director at iSPIRAL on "KYC: What can your company do to stay competitive & in compliance in 2021 and beyond". Peter Wilson, Partner at PLW Legal Ltd took the stage next with his presentation; "Investigations by the regulator – managing the risks and the prospects of large penalties and criminal investigations".

After highly informative presentations, participants enjoyed a Networking Lunch Break before joining in on the first panel discussion of the day, namely, "Safe gambling – How to effectively improve consumer protection in online gambling and can harmonised regulations across Europe be the answer?". Moderator, Anastasios Vasios, Director of New Regulated Markets Compliance at SkillOnNet, lead the panel and panellist Michael C.G. Charalambides, CEO & MD at ECOMMBX delivered thoughtful insights during the discussion.

Another insightful panel discussion followed straight afterwards, namely, "How to reflect Cyprus AML and CFT legal requirements with appropriate, robust procedures and practices". Viktoria Soltesz, Founder at PSP Angels moderated the panel and panellists included, Alexandros Constantinou, Group Director and Head of Compliance Support Department at MAP S.Platis Group, Christos Ttiniozou, Managing Director at iSPIRAL, Evdokia Pitsillidou, Risk & Compliance Director | Partner at SALVUS Funds, and Gregory Dellas, Chief Compliance & Innovation Officer at ECOMMBX.

It was time for another well-deserved break and attendees enjoyed a delicious networking lunch. Moderator, Tal Itzhak Ron, Chairman and CEO at Tal Ron, Drihem & Co., Law Firm opened up the stage again with the panel discussion; "How to avoid legal mistakes and payment disputes in forex, crypto and gaming operations to improve your ROI". Panellists took their turn sharing their insights and experiences on the topic. Panellists, Amir Mikay, Co-Founder at TrafficLightMedia, Paula Zulonė, Head of Accounts at ConnectPay, Gurevitz, Head of Banking and Payments at Tal Ron, Drihem & Co., Law Firm, shared thoughtful comments and encouraged the audience to interact with a much needed questions and answers session.

Straight after Stratos Kanakis, Director at Golden Ratio Consulting took to the stage with his presentation, namely, "Segmentation: Enhancing customer experience, increasing ROI". Branka van der Linden, Secretary of the Board at Cyprus Integrity Forum followed with the final presentation of the day; "Betting integrity - Overcoming match-fixing and are we doing enough?".
"The industry has come a long way from where it was 10-15 years ago specifically in Cyprus and events like the Cyprus Gaming Show contribute to see the gaming and gambling industry from a different perspective,and educate the audience that not one size fits all ie: not all gaming and gambling is something happening in a little dark room. Corruption has huge impact on all industries without exception and the gaming sector needs more awareness on its consequences", stated speaker, Branka van der Linden, Secretary of the Board, Cyprus Integrity Forum.
"CGS was a great event and an opportunity to learn about level regulators, responsible gambling and technology", said delegate, Kinga Ward, Head of Policy and Outreach, Malta Gaming Authority.
"Very informative. And it's great to build deeper connections other than swapping business cards. This is really getting involved with the speakers and each other", added Speaker and Chairperson, Viktoria Soltesz, Founder, PSP Angels.
